Hi, I’m Amanda

I’m a writer, editor, educator, and illustrator living in East Texas. Outside of my classroom, I am an avid advocate for the arts, literacy, and social justice. I earned my master’s degree in writing with a dual concentration in fiction and nonfiction from Johns Hopkins University and my bachelor’s degree in English and Theater. When I’m not writing or teaching, I enjoy crafting, making art, riding my bike outside, or analyzing horror movies with friends indoors.
